Ahhh the past week.

Well we've been home from NY for a week now! Yay! I'm thinking our trip home wasn't a good one and Mommy was surely mean. Christopher and Lena played SO INCREDIBLY well that night, 2 straight hours of playing make-believe with Lena's Polly Pockets. I decided to eaves-drop on their playing and found that they were play "WHO'S GOING TO KILL MOMMY"...*sigh* I guess I was a bit mean on the trip home.

Yesterday I was washing our bed sheets and Lena came into my room to see my bed naked. She asked where my sheets were and I told her they were in the washing machine. Her response "why Mommy, did you make peepee?" Hmmmmm

Back to the Grind

Our trip to NYC was quick and tiring! Driving into the Bronx at 2am I got a bit nostalgic and started missing it a lot. It didn't take long for that to end though. Once the sun rose and I got to see all the graffiti and some old neighborhood weeds the size of Jojo, I remembered why we left. Not to mention the shooting around the corner a month or so ago. I will always miss my friends and family up there...they are the best.

Adriana, thanks for letting us crash your house. Hope we didn't break anything! Steve and Dez (aka Ellen), thanks for the hospitality and letting us stay for the night. We love and miss you.

The ride home was HELL...not sure we will go up again as a family in September like planned.

I won't leave you all with the bore of our trip.

Lena told me I have feet like a Grandpa. Why I asked. Her response is that I have hair on them...WTF? I do NOT have hair on my feet but I am checking just in case!

Dilemma

So, what would you do if your daughter told you her little brother was scrubbing the potty with his tooth brush but then finished brushing his teeth afterwords? The damage has been done, do I buy him a new toothbrush (which his current one is a week old) or just let his immune system get strong...Hmmmmm.... ;)

Southern Pizza

So, I broke down and ordered Domino's Pizza the other day. Yes I know what you are thinking...GROSS....but hey, $5.99 for a large (well, what they gave me was NOT a large, I assure you).

I give Jojo a slice of thin crust pepperoni and he took one bite, spit it out and THREW the piece across the kitchen and said so clearly "THAT'S NOT PIZZA"! LOL....

That's my little NY Italian for ya!

We learn so much in school these days!

So Christopher came home and told me he is learning a LOT in school now.

Chris: Mom, have you ever heard of Ben Franklin?

Me: Yes.

Chris: He's dead.

Me: Yes, he's been dead for a long time.

Chris: He was an amazing scientist and writer and have your heard of Michael Jackson?

Me: Yes, I've heard of Michael Jackson!

Chris: He was a war hero.

Me: Hmmm, do you mean Andrew Jackson?

Chris: No MICHAEL JACKSON, he was a war hero and a rockstar.

Me: OOOOkay...if you say so...

Long Week

Well, it's been a good but long week. Almost over!

My MRI came back GOOD!!!!! I'm so relieved! Woooo! Of course I don't know exactly I have these weird feelings on my left side but thankfully it is nothing 'bad'! Thanks for all your thoughts and prayers!

Today we got to meet Christopher's 1st grade teacher. I like her. I hope I still like her when he is actually in the classroom though. She told me the school gives her all the active boys so she can whip them into shape...then recanted by saying she doesn't ACTUALLY whip them ... LOL...

"Oh, that's too bad"--was my response. She'll know what I mean come August!

Anyways, I'll try to be back here tomorrow!

What the heck???

So I hear Lena sitting on the pot today and she was talking to herself...saying "squeeze it out, squeeze it out"....I am so proud. Of course I shouldn't be surprised as she does fart on cue. I do need to invest in a good digital video recorder, anyone tell me which is good? I need one with great sound from a distance.

More on June 9

So, Jojo was taking some wet wipes and cleaning the inside of the toilet with them...then dripping the toilet water all over my floors...but that's okay, I can live with that...but I do hope he doesn't get sick from sucking the toilet water OUT of the wipe...sure do wish he would tell me when he's thirsty!

My ears are almost back to normal after that MRI...no permanent damage done! ;)

When asked, Lena said she wants to grow up to be a Princess. What exactly do Princesses do? Well she says, they are pretty, oh and they share...

At least they share. I wonder how much a princess earns these days.

Anyways, MRI in just under 2 hours. Wish me luck!

The Joys of Parenthood

Today Christopher has LOTS of math homework as he didn't do any last week....so he told me that NO UNACCEPTABLE MOMS allowed in our house...anyone want to 'house' me?

Happy Monday

Well, my friends are gone :( I miss you guys already! I feel very blessed to have such people in my life!

It was a busy weekend and I am burnt from the sun--I'm done with the pool for a while, lets see if my kids will forget about it as well (yea right!)

I did get to see two movies this weekend. The Blind Side and that was GREAT! Sandra B definitely deserved her Oscar. We also saw Alice in Wonderland. It was probably much better in the theater--Johnny Depp was amazing as always but the movie wasn't as wonderful as I had expected!

Pool

I'm going to go to the pool today with a cinder block and a short rope...I'm sure I can get this headache to go away somehow!

Homework

So Christopher and I are doing homework and he is asked to write about what he likes about Kindergarten. So I have him write how he likes his teachers and how he loves to learn...

His response: Mom, what are you nuts?!?!?!?

Numbness

Ok, so I go to the doctor this morning to talk about my numbness. I don't hurt in the least. I have already googled everything possible on numbness on one side of your body. DON'T do this people. Really, unless you have some weird problem where you like to worry. I knew that the doc would mention a few things, such as MS. But I never thought he'd mention brain tumor and that's almost funny because I've ALWAYS been paranoid about brain tumors because of my horrible headaches that have just become a part of my life since I was just a little kid.

Well, great. One more thing to worry about. I did cry the whole drive home even though the doctor told me not to worry right now. Yeah Right...whatever!

Never thought I'd be praying for nerve damage. Of course this is most likely the cause (fingers crossed!!!) as I do carry a load of children around...

So, what's next? Trying to convince my insurance (which happens to be NYC based) to pay for an MRI. Fun Stuff...

Look at that. Raining like crazy with lightening to boot! Well, guess those peeps closing our pool so 'others not paying' can enjoy it worked out for us!

Weird Numbness

So, I have a tickle on my left shoulder...doesn't itch, feels like a bug crawling in a circle...then my tongue went numb a week later, then my foot went numb now my left arm...It's totally freaking me out. Nothing hurts. I wonder if it could be from holding the kids as I do it on my left hip. But again, no pain in my back/neck area. I see my GP on Tuesday morning and will probably get sent to a neuro...fingers crossed it's nothing serious!

Pool

Well the neighborhood pool opened today...it WAS totally amazing...but if there is a little turd floating around...I do apologize!

Dinner

We went out for a bit today...did a little Walmart shopping only to walk thru the door and Lena say "Who Pooped?"...Just great...That stench is our dinner cooking in the crockpot...wonderful! I'll just add that to the you're fat Mom and why are you cross-eyed again?
